The 60's a time of change, a time of excitement

 Anyone who has lived thru the 60's knows exactly what I'm talking about.  We went from the innocence of the 50's and brought the world into the wild world of the 60's

Although we didn't have all the modern devices and conveniences of today, it was still a great time to grow up as a teenager.

The music changed, attitudes changed and the outlook for the world was changing.

Groups that stand the test of time

Many of the groups from that era still command big audiences and have their stuff played on current media.

A sign of the times.

One thing that still stands out is the the fact that in the 60's and 70's the variety programs provided

new and seasoned talent with a platform to perform.  Sometimes you got to watch some of your

favorites and sometimes you got to check out new talent.
